We believe that the only way to get consistent, quality meat to all of our customers is by having full involvement at every stage. This starts at the paddock and goes right through to when the product is on the plate.
Our experienced livestock team hand selects livestock throughout South Australia. They maintain solid relationships with livestock agents and primary producers throughout the state so that these producers have an understanding of the level of quality required to meet our customers’ expectations.
As well as sourcing cattle from the primary producers, our team are present at weekly markets that take place throughout South Australia sourcing the best of local beef, sheep and pork.
Austral Meat also have an in-house breeding program with both Black Angus and Murray Grey cattle.
Our livestock is processed at Strath Pastoral – a multi-species, accredited facility. We maintain a close relationship with this abattoir, enabling us to control a consistent standard of product integrity.
